Planning for our trip took some very creative finagling, especially traveling with two children. Both kids are in school and following that calendar, along with work schedules was a bit tedious and hard to figure out, especially for the trip in March/April of 2022. We booked half the airline tickets with miles and paid for the other too ( which was a process in of itself trying to find the exact flights for miles and dollars) and then looked at costs for the yachts and catamarans.
Depending on the boat size there is different pricing, as well as low to high season pricing. Here's a rough idea of what we were looking at per boat. Keep in mind, when you are on the yacht and catamaran, you are essentially in a hotel on the ocean. You have staff that attends to your every need and a chef on board (how amazing is that). You still have to pay VAT taxes (Value-Added Tax) like in most places in the world (170 countries specifically); fuel (that depends on how long and far you want to go); and for food supplies (they are picked up at their freshest, ensuring a completely personal and stimulating experience- think of super fresh fish picked up from the island you just docked and cooked immediately for your lunch or dinner). The thinking of cost breakdown for us was the following: VAT was unavoidable (except when shopping for certain goods - we will get into that later but think Duty Free Shopping) while traveling; Fuel as our daily resort tax; and Food as the wholesale cost of going out to the resort restaurants. All in all, well worth the cost.
How do you book? Send us an email and we will direct you on where to go. Keep in mind, you have a downpayment at time of booking, that ranges from 25%-30% (also known as APA) depending on the ship. For more details, drop us a message or email.
Costs are broken down by seasons. They are an estimated range and for a week. From Euros to dollars it is based on the dollar being $1.07 but this can change of course. Also, don't forget the VAT @ 13%. With the Dollar and Euro being so close, this is a great time to book.
