WHERE to go and WHAT to see?

Updated: May 9, 2023

Greece is one of the top travel destinations for a reason. There is so much to see and do, that one trip is just not enough. When prepping for your charter, always remember that you are in control of where you stop and what places you want to see. It's important to ask the crew, however, because after all, they know all the secret places that you might not find on a tour guide website or online.

First, decide what ocean you would like to be on and what you are looking for. Are you looking for something busy like Mykonos or something much quieter and off the beaten path like Folegandros?

The Aegean Sea features the whitewashed Cycladic islands that range from quiet and somewhat undiscovered like Sifno, all the way to ultra busy and luxe Mykonos. There are other bigger islands to consider like Chios (famous for their mastic); Ikaria (they live so long there, that there is an actual scientific study on it! And of course, don't forget Icarus flew too close to the sun); Skiathos (great for an easy time), Kythira and Anti-Kythira (the latter has many A list home owners- think Tom Hanks ) and many, many others to choose from.

The Ionian Sea features the infamous island Kefalonia (breathtaking); Corfu (breathtaking and full of history); Zakynthos (the beaches are crazy amazing - see Navagio pics); Paxi and Anti-Paxi (amazing for private swims with the yachts with access to the best beaches you've ever seen); and Lefkada (just gorgeous and GREEN!).

Looking for a longer charter to the farthest and one of the biggest Greek Islands?

Let's not forget the massive islands like Crete (it is so big, amazing and so rich with history that we have traveled there three times and still not seen all of it; Crete is also famous for its Minoan ruins -- Knossos, Phaistos, Lato, & Gournia --, monasteries, and delicous raki!); and Rhodes (the history, greenery, and water are just breathtaking). Both are a bit of a trek but just imagine the stops you could make along the way.

You could stop at Milos for a lunch; Folegandros for swim and some walking; Santorini for a bit to see the blue and white speckled island, visit the volcano, or capture the sunset; and then off to Crete to start a new adventure.

On your way to Rhodes, you have the pick of stopping at some Cycladic islands on the way, like Tinos (where the famous Panagia gets offerings from Greek orthodox worldwide); Paros and Anti-Paros for sightseeing and private swims; Amorgos for a quick dip and dock; and then you are in Rhodes (home of the seven wonders where the Colossuss once stood). Now these are truly amazing and unforgettable trips of a lifetime.

Here is map to help guide you, and of course, some pics for inspiration.
